Exploring reactivity & periodicity

Guiding Question- is reactivity a periodic property?

During the investigation I watched 2 YouTube videos. Both videos showed various alkali metals and their reactions when they were dropped in water.

Claim- reactivity is a periodic proper due to the reactions after the experiment was conducted. In the first video both metals created an immense amount of energy after the metals absorbed into the water creating an explosion or burst of energy

In the second video both metals didn’t create as big of a reaction but both metals fizzed up upon impact and by led releasing a gas.

I would expect copper to be less reactive due to its structure I feel like it would creat a noticeable reaction. Magnesium on the other hand I believe will create the same or even a better reaction such as the alkali metals used in the videos.
