3 question blog 12/8

1. Recently we have been learning more about the periodic table and we have most recently done our chemical bonding lab swing how certain metals react in water and other substances.

2.reventlywe have learned the composition of the periodic table, balance electrons, noble gasses etc.

3. To better prepare myself I plan on creating flash cards , studying my notes and testing myself over what we do in class

exploring the chemist's Dozen, The Mole

1. GQ- Do average mass of different beans really equal a standard quantity? 2. During our investigation we gathered several different beans and we counted them out , weighed them, calculated the average mass, then we calculated the relative mass lastly. 3. in our investigation we decided our answer was yes because all the beans masses equaled a standard quantity because the count of beans were around the same number (20). To calculate relative mass you have to divide all the beans over the smallest beans  in this case it was all beans over lentils even lentils/ lentils This models the mole because although we had around the same count of beans in the end our masses were all different from each others. a mole is essentially different molar masses but containing the same number of particles in this case same amount of beans but different masses.
